Brevens Bruk with its unique mill environment tells the story of an exciting era in Swedish industrial history. It is a living community that offers the visitor a great experience with the mill museum and beautiful old buildings. Here you can truly enjoy the proximity to nature, with forests and lakes, fishing and swimming, berry and mushroom picking and wonderful walks in the beautiful forests. The three lakes Sottern, Botaren and Kullasjön are on our doorstep. Sottern has a rich archipelago and plenty of fish such as perch and pike. The water quality is excellent and there are several beaches perfect for swimming. There is a restaurant with a rustic pub in the village. The nearest grocery store is 5 km away, in Högsjö.

Brevens Bruk AB owns around 70 houses and flats in and around Brevens Bruk. They are all of good standard and many of them have a garden or patio. We also rent out garages for cars and caravans.

The West Wing

Västra Flygeln (The West Wing) is situated in the centre of Brevens Bruk just beside the Brevens Bruk manor house and the beautiful stream right behind it. The recently renovated house consists of one single room, two double rooms and one room with four beds. All rooms have a bathroom with shower. There is also a small kitchen and a dining room which can be used by everybody living in the house. A small rowing boat can be rented.

Bedclothes, towels and end cleaning are not included in the prices below but can however be provided at an extra charge.

The East Wing

Östra Flygeln (The East Wing) is situated in the centre of Brevens Bruk, just beside the Brevens Bruk manor house, with a lovely view over the stream. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, living room, three bedrooms with totally six beds. There are two bath rooms, one with shower and one with bath-tub. A small rowingboat is included in the rent.

Djup

Djup is beautifully situated on the south side of Lake Sottern, about 6 km from Brevens Bruk. The house contains 3 bedrooms with 2 beds in each room, livingroom, fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom with shower on the first floor and toilet on the second floor. There is a big terrace with a fantastic view over the lake. Two motorboats are included in the price.

Fiskartorp

Small cottage on an island in Lake Sottern, about 11 km from Brevens Bruk. Kitchen, living room and two double rooms. Bathroom with shower. A small boat with motor is included in the price. The cottage is for rent April-November (provided that the lake is free from ice).

Bruksgatan 11

Fully equipped studio apartment in Brevens Bruk. Two stairs up. Small kitchen. Twin beds plus extra bed possibility. Bathroom with shower.

Skrattorp

Holiday house situated about 4 km from Brevens Bruk. Two living rooms, three bedrooms with totally nine beds, kitchen, sauna, two showers and three toilets. Lake Kullasjön is about 500 m away. A small boat is included in the rent. The house is for rent February-September.

Talludden

Talludden is located just outside Brevens Bruk, 400 m from the beach Röda Sand. Livingroom and fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms with six totally beds, bathroom with shower. A small boat is included in the price. The cottage is for rent February-September.

2016 beviljades Brevens Bruk AB stöd från Europeiska Jordbruksfonden för landsbygdsutveckling. Stödet avser ordningsställandet av ett informationscentrum i en kulturhistorisk värdefull byggnad, i en övrigt kulturhistorisk värdefull och publik miljö. I detta fall avses ordninställandet av foajén i den f.d. mekaniska verkstaden, idag kallad “Brevens Hjärta”. Syftet är att främja en ökning av turistnäringen på orten och i informationscentrat kommer flera olika verksamheter att inrymmas utöver service i form av toaletter mm.
